Letter From Canada . . .

. . . "HELP! WE ARE FREEZING! 20 centimeters of snow this weekend! Send blankets or warm clothing! Miso Ramen and Chanko Nabe also appreciated!! You can send Oden, but only the eggs and sliced daikon. Whatever you do, don't send the konyaku, cuz there is no winter cold enough to make me eat that... gross!"

Sitting here in sunny Australia, it's hard to fathom how cold that is...

I hope that your move went well and that Kotomi is enjoying Canada.

I have just been given a job as a Japanese teacher at a state high school, AND I will be taking ten 15 yr. olds to Japan next year. I am absolutely terrified by the prospect...

Anyway, all our love,

Lucy and Rob
